Earn college credits this summer
Is your teenager still trying to decide what she wants to do this summer? Foothill College is offering a series of accelerated summer courses that not only provide high school students with something to do, but also the opportunity to earn college credit.
The six courses are offered at our Middlefield Campus in Palo Alto and take place Monday – Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, unless noted.
Health Careers Academy (AHS 51), June 13 – 16, $81
Careers in the Visual Arts (GID 60), June 13 – 23, $112
Foundations of Computer Programming (CS 49); June 13 – 30, $127.50
Introduction to Creative Writing (CRWR 6), June 27 – July 14, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., $205
Acting I (THTR 20); June 27-July 14, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., $174
Graphic Design Drawing (GID 70); June 27 – August 6; $174
Fees, not including textbooks, are waived for current high school students taking less than six units.
Registration begins Monday, May 16 and students must first apply to Foothill College (starting April 1) and fill out a “concurrent enrollment” form.
Interested students are encouraged to attend an orientation session on:
Wednesday, April 27 at 5 p.m. in Building I-Auditorium
Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. in Building I-Auditorium
