Community Education offers ways to stay fit

Whether you and your family want to stay fit in the pool or in the gym, Foothill College offers a variety of fitness classes this summer for every member of your family.

Community education classes include swim lessons, as well as use of Foothill’s Olympic-size pool during members hours when you purchase a pool-use membership. If you’d rather work out on dry land, Foothill’s community education offerings feature fitness boot camps and yoga for health classes, as well as fitness center-memberships.

Purchase an $80 fitness center-use membership, and you can access all of the center’s aerobic and strength development equipment, including treadmills, recumbent cycles and Nautilis weightlifting stations, balance balls, free weights and more. Your membership gives you access to the fitness center June 29–Sept. 20. Select morning, afternoon or evening fitness center hours that work best for you when you register at foothill.edu/communityeducation.

Save $40 when you purchase pool- and fitness center-use memberships together. To register for community education classes and purchase memberships, access foothill.edu/communityeducation.

Community members are invited to submit proposals for new community education classes, especially computer camps, personal enrichment topics, professional development workshops, and interesting classes that will appeal to youth, working adults and active seniors.

To submit a proposal for a potential community services class, or for more information about Foothill’s Community Education Program, call 650.949.7797 or e-mail communityed@foothill.edu.
